Coaches Training – MANDATORY FOR ALL This Year
All coaches, experienced and new, MUST attend a coaches training this fall. Each team must have at least 1 coach attend training; this does not have to be the main coach. Assistant coaches are fine. If a team does not have one of its coaches attend a training, it will be subject to a $100 fine which must be paid before the tam presents its solution at the regional tournament.
New Coaches 9:00 A.M. -3:00 P.M.
The morning is designed to familiarize new coaches with the Odyssey of the Mind Program. The focus is on starting a team, team-building during those first keys meetings, and how to choose a long term problem to solve. Participants will experience some fun spontaneous problems and hands on activities that they can try out later with their teams.
Experienced Coaches 12:00 P.M. – 3:00 P.M.
Experienced Coaches and Redwood Problem Captains and Board Members join us for info about current rules and procedures, as well as breakout sessions that are Long Term problem-specific.
Training Dates:
October 5 & November 2 – Hidden Valley Ele., 3435 Bonita Vista Lane, Santa Rosa, CA
